Is anyone else a bit bemused as to how a Tory majority would even work? Johnson can barely walk outside without being told to fuck off by the public, and whenever he's interviewed or asked questions by colleagues he evaporates. He is unpopular in ways that even Theresa May couldn't have imagined. How would that possibly last for five years?

Nobody liked Theresa May, but people didn't hate her that much either. Even though people viscerally hate Johnson, there are actually people who like him too.

I assume Boris Johnson was looking really statesmanlike on the 6 o'clock news, sombre tone and all that?

No response from Johnson about the thing yet?  How come?

It'd be strange to call it a 'second' one.

I wonder how much of the remaining LibDem support is from people who would rather vote Labour but only the LibDems can beat the Tories in their region?

If the Lib Dems are polling 15% then that's too high for just that. We need to be peeling off further.

Is it? Had one of those misleading bar charts from a "Who would you vote for if only the Lib-Dems and Conservatives had a realistic chance of winning" polls through the door just now. I bet a lot of people who aren't very engaged with politics and aren't really paying attention are taken in by that sort of shit.

I didn't suggest all were tactically voting, just that it would be interesting to know who is going to vote for them to keep the Tories out, but would rather be voting Labour.

Nice of the Guardian to run a total bollocks piece about 'not even our union rep is voting Labour'.

Even the worst polling suggested a quarter of the population are voting Labour. Typical.

What is the Graun's angle on all this? They seem rabidly anti-Labour.

Is it genuinely as simple as "big corporate run newspaper hates socialism"?

Funcrusher

They're a bunch of faux left centrist cunts who want some cunt like Owen Smith or Jess Phillips as leader.

Needs to have a look at the values of their union and decide if they should be a rep. If they were real.

Another Corbyn is Hitler article too.

My brother had a Lib Dem leaflet through in Hove. It shows the LDs second to the Tories with Labour a very distant third.

Below the graph in small letters it says polling in the South East of England. Not fucking Hove.

holyzombiejesus

Does anyone know much about the state of the parties in Northern Ireland? Pretty shabby but I know zip about how the parties are doing there or even what they stand for. The polls here seem to be shifting towards a hung parliament and just wondered whose likely to be around to prop up the tories?
