Is this the longest time in parliamentary history that one policy has dominated parliament?

I anything else actually happening in government? Is it really dodgy stuff that wouldnt be missed or accepted without the Brexit smokescreen.

Just the fact we are now using the term Brexit in all seriouness is scary.

Cummings says the government will go on strike and do nothing except try to get an election. They probably see a path to No Deal somehow, if that's the plan, but then again most of their plans get thwarted. If they do anything like that, I think it's unavoidably bad optricks.

I for one think that all this talk about a General Erection is nonsense. Captain Pugwash's enemy was actually called Cut-Throat Jake.

What would "the government going on strike" mean in practice?

What rather than 30+ years of 'let the market decide'?

So are the great majority of the voting public.

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2019/oct/24/majority-of-voters-think-violence-against-mps-is-price-worth-paying-for-brexit

Apparently so

Fucking terrifying

Quote
Most leave voters who took part in the Future of England study thought violence towards MPs was a “price worth paying” for Brexit to be delivered – 71% in England, 60% in Scotland and 70% in Wales.

The majority of remain voters felt that potential violence was worth it if it meant we would stay in the EU – 58% in England, 53% in Scotland and 56% in Wales.

Why leavers will get their way, right there.

Quote
However, a huge number of those who voted leave in the EU referendum believed that economic losses would be worth it – 76% in England and Scotland and 81% in Wales.

Similarly, voters overwhelmingly felt that the potential destruction of the country’s farming and fishing industries would be a price worth paying for getting the result they wanted in the Brexit negotiations.

Utter madness.

But apparently spending more on the NHS and taking utilities back into public ownership can't happen because we have to "balance the books"

France saying they won't grant extension unless there's an election or a referendum arranged.
Cummings saying there won't be an election unless there's Brexit, but refusing to agree a timetable to discuss it.
Labour saying there won't be an election unless No Deal Brexit possibility removed.
No Deal Brexit still on the table while France refuses an election.

This is nuts

Absolutely bezerker level nuts

Are you prepared to see Britain itself reduced to a pile of brick dust and mouse droppings in a nuclear winter if it means leaving the EU?

Leavers
Yes: 57%
No: 23%
Don't Know: 20%

To be a little bit fair, the question asks what if Leaving/Remaining caused 'Violence directed towards Members of Parliament'

and the only options were

I want this to happen regardless of Brexit
I see it as a risk but it’s worth it
Leaving/Remaining the EU is not worth the risk of this happening

Which is not exactly how it's being represented.
