rue the polywhirl

Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd. Honest but dour and workmanlike ballad from Dave Gilmour and gang. Somewhat rambling and rough around the edges and also lyrics are quite trite and overearnest.

Wish You Were Here - Fourplay. Calming, sensuous west coast jazz from geniuses of the genre Bob James, Lee Ritenour and co. Warm, uplifting. No lyrics but the playing completely drives home the message of the title. Really hits the spot.

There are many songs called "Girls", but I am struggling with a dead tie between The Prodigy and Death In Vegas.

I think it's The Prodigy.

I'd take Tricky's over The Prodigy's.

Tory rock.
Tories who played benefit concerts for the likes of Rock Against Racism and Amnesty International?

Bernard, Steve and Gillian are not big fans of Brexit. Hooky on the other hand, admired Cameron's 'air of authority'

More Tory supporters should follow old Ian from the washing line to the grave.

Yea,h, I've read Touching From A Distance too. There were 3 other people in the band besides Ian.

Well it turns out one bad apple does spoil the bunch.

He was only twenty-three when he died; I'm willing to believe that his views would've changed had he'd given himself the chance to live longer and mature (as that Quietus article points out, Weller underwent such a change).  All of the others on that Guardian list you link to lived, or have lived, for much longer than Curtis did, and have far less excuse.

It makes no odds as he's now in Hell being bummed for eternity by a demon dressed as Russ Abbott in front a TV showing New Order titting about on the Baywatch beach for voting Tory and taking his own life. In that order.
