I'm having right trouble navigating these now. Mary Ann Hobbs played a few things I want to look up earlier today but I was in the car. Sorry for a stupid question but is there an easy link for this. I could have looked in the radio player but these new BBC Sounds thing is very fiddly on my phone. Ta.

Avoid sounds and go to the programme page.

Because of sounds they've removed the + button that added now playing/playlist tracks to bbc playlister (which you could then export etc). It seems like a massive step backwards as you could easily tap the button to earmark it without stopping what you're doing. Now I need to note it down or put it in google keep or something.

Excellent. Tha k you. You're right it was much easier before.

Will have to look up Seiho.

On the BBC site there used to be a way of searching by artist name and it'd list all the songs by them that had been played recently, and which shows they'd been played on.  Does anyone know if this is still possible because I tried recently and failed to get to the right page, and it looks like things have been redesigned.  Maybe they removed this feature?

I thought if you just put that artist name into the BBC site if they'd been played the details of each show would come up: for instance like here, when I've done it for my pals The Just Joans: https://www.bbc.co.uk/music/artists/e4a0abf9-da98-433f-aacc-a5934d55fa9c

Possibly, it looks like they've binned loads of decent features to get a 'minimum viable product' version out. They'll probably do the same to this once it's gone from being usable to useful.

It didn't even do chromecast when they launched it.

Thanks, that's like the page I used to see (although I think it's been redesigned).
How do you get to that page?  If I search for The Just Joans for example I get this...
https://www.bbc.co.uk/search?q=the+just+joans
...which isn't what i want.

I used to be able to get to the page easily (maybe by clicking the band name in any playlist), now it's well hidden, or not obvious to me at least.

EDIT: Got it. You click the Music tab then click the band name.  That's really daft - the band name doesn't look like it's a link, I was just randomly clicking and got there the first time by accident.

Do you mean something like this?

I think it's part of the playlister functionality which is being deprecated. I'm struggling to search for new artists so came to that by going through something I'd added on playlister then hit the artist page. Unfortunately the ID in the url seems to be a hash as well.

JesusAndYourBush

Yeah I worked it out and edited my previous post.
After searching a band name you get a link in the form
https://www.bbc.co.uk/search?q=band+name
then click, the 'Music' tab, then when that page opens... clicking almost anywhere on the screen puts a blue border around the whole screen like you clicked some sort of a link but it doesn't do anything, then I was clicking randomly and realised that clicking the band name takes you to the url with the hashed id thingy.

Sebastian Cobb

Well that's not intuitive is it? And the music tag only appears after you've searched! You can't select music then search.

Then they remove this stuff because nobody's using it!
