There's only one person here who always let us know what Guido was saying. Bit of a giveaway there.

How can someone be a pacifist and an islamist? Aren't islamists violent by definition?

Even if it vindicates them it still puts TW in a position of power.
No.

Quotedo you think a small labour defeat could potentially vindicate Corbyn etc?
I think it would probably maintains the stalemate within the party, in practice, than any other outcome.

This is probably true but, right now, I'm enjoying thinking he's been taken up by CIA aliens and replaced by a kindly biddable robot.  Let me have this moment.  Please.

Not Corbyn. I don't want a Stalinist, pacifist, pro-islamist, weak PM. Even Nancy Pelosi doesn't like him, because of his anti-semitism.

By not getting rid of Corbyn, Labour has consigned themselves to dismal failure at the next GE. He makes Michael Foot look awesome.

Had a nice chat with a Palestinian social scientist today. He thinks your handlers wont let Corbyn win.

Funcrusher

Guardian subheading - Move will reopen debate about party's direction under Jeremy Corbyn . It will with you, you bunch of cunts, not that it was ever closed.

Whose debate? What a fucking sham organisation. Burn

Just looked at it. Tories have been making howling gaffes and being empty chaired, and had a resignation over really nasty shit, but it's a 'calamity for Labour' that one of Corbyn's noted critics is standing down, and he's not even going until after the election.

I think it would probably maintains the stalemate within the party, in practice, than any other outcome.

The young lefties and invigorated old lefties are the life and soul of the party now. If they are alienated by a sell out new leader then there will be so little of a husk left and so little reason for Labour to exist as that centre right entity that they may as well not.

Election defeat will not change the sheer quantity of people who know what the right thing is to do.

You don't need to subscribe to everything Corbyn says or think the future is achievable, you just need to compare it with the competition and think it's not being a complete cunt, so that's fine.

There is literally no need for a third neoliberal political party, if indeed there is a need for a 2nd one.

I agree with this, which I why I think that a major defeat won't/wouldn't have in empowered Watson or his ilk - it'd likely intensify the conflict within the party and what would he be left with if he won? A minor defeat won't be entirely peaceable (any more than the last two years have), but I don't think it would produce the same urgent terror that something has to be finished.
