QuoteBy not getting rid of Corbyn, Labour has consigned themselves to dismal failure at the next GE. He makes Michael Foot look awesome.

Corbyn's Labour got 40% of the vote in 2017. May got 42%.

Milliband 2016 = 30.4%
Brown 2010 = 29.0%
Blair 2005 = 32.4%
Blair 2001 = 40.7%
Blair 1997 = 43.2%

If a few LibDems had tactically voted Labour last time, Labour would've won.

Poor John Rentoul's defence of Watson amounts to 'he consistently briefed against the leadership of the party throughout his career'. Just goes to show what values some journalists most admire (as if that were a surprise).

If I constantly briefed against my boss, I wouldn't have a career.

It seems that pretty much no-one cares, except the Guardian.

"I'm 52 and I'm retiring from politics after health issues."

Is he trying to imply that Corbyn is too old be in politics? Corbyn is probably much fitter than most of his age and younger. He's certainly healthier than Tom Watson (mentally and physically).

thugler

The fuck is this guardian headline 'corbyn strengthens grip'.. Fucking ludicrous.. There's a general election and they're still acting the cunt.

It's pure fantasy to think that Labour will "go back to normal" after Corbyn. If Corbyn does stand down then the membership won't make the same mistake of voting for a little turd as deputy leader.

Mystery solved:

QuoteFor his part Watson says he has a lot of irons in the fire, including training to become a gym instructor and a book about weight loss coming out in January.

And if the 'moderates' regain control, Labour will die.

Imagine.  Your bum looks massive in that lycra.  Look at that massive bum, everyone, look!  Is that all you can lift?  I don't know why you bother coming here, everyone hates you and you smell.

I don't have to imagine...
