They're doing so much hilarity it'll get lost in the more serious politics threads.

So, let's start with this 'May I talk to the manager please?' candidate in Brighton.

That's Buelligan on her chopping block for re-publishing that! IP thief!

Edit: oh no, I might be on her list as well!

You have a thing for unpleasant women.

As do I.

But my thing is different.

She's right though. If her Twitter photo was taken by a professional photographer, he has copyright on it and it was used without his permission.

No, I'm no sexist.  I have a thing for unpleasant people.  Not bothered about their genitalia (which is a safe bet is damned unpleasant too).  The thing I have is called an oubliette.

Chuks was on the radio last night saying some things already forgotten.

Chuka can't muster even the slightest semblance of conviction or enthusiasm when he's called upon to endorse the great leader Jo and tell us how she's going to be the next Prime Minister.  It's so transparently obvious that he hopes the election goes terribly for them so that he can oust her and unleash his Chuka-vision on the party.

Quote

Potential Tory coalition partner right here. Jo goes in thinking she'll curb their worst excesses and be granted a second referendum in return and comes out five years later a broken husk having spent her whole term voting against everything she claimed she stood for and seeing her glorious second referendum still sat at the very bottom of the 'things to do if we can ever be arsed' pile, where it's remained since the first week of the coalition.

"If I just kowtow and crawl some more, sell another little piece of my already microscopic soul, back another disgusting policy, excuse another hateful comment, smile through another forced photo opportunity with another slimy creep ... then surely they've got to grant me my precious second referendum! Haven't they?"

"Who would your top 5 fantasy dinner party guests be?"

"Oh, gosh, that's a toughie. It's gotta be Nick Clegg, Jo Swinson, Tim Farron, Justin Welby, and Tommy Robinson"

Cant believe you wouldnt invite Paddy

I like my politicians the same way I like my incontinence pads; admirable, confident, emphatic, assured and fresh.

We're talking about Lib Dems, people so bland they wouldn't even consider the possibility of inviting dead people to a fantasy dinner party, despite the fact that it's a fucking fantasy.

greenman

Farron, the politician Paddy could have been.

holyzombiejesus

The local Lib Dem candidate here (a constituency where the tories have a tiny 600 majority over Labour and the 2 parties got over 90% of the 58,000 votes) has published this bar chart.

The 'last election' was a parish council one in which about 500 people/ 25% of the electorate voted.

Are these dishonest bar charts party policy?

Buelligan

They're clearly going after the people-who-don't-read-the-small-print vote.  Others already have the Leave tranche of that demographic trussed up and ready for the oven.  Ping.
