I can only assume it's the type of stuff madhair60 likes. Bedroom dev kind of stuff from the 90s, small teams working ambitiously and learning as they go along. Polygons falling out of the characters' arses and creating a black hole memory leak kind of thing.

Floaty platformers is what it mainly means to me. But The Addams Family is fucking brilliant so don't write it all off.

It's not all Europe's fault. I had to go and check where Bubsy was developed because that is the absolute epitome of the genre's bullshit.
