They can be specialists, but principally known for broadcasting/presenting. Mine are (in order, 1 being the best):
1. Alan Whicker
2. Tony Hart
3. David Attenborough
4. Terry Wogan
5. Danny Baker
6. Keith Floyd
7. Brucie
8. Antoine de Caunes
9. Sarah Greene
9. Clarkson (sorry, but his old non-racist actual car stuff is good)
10. Floella Benjamin

DrGreggles

I'd go along with about half of those, but my first thought upon seeing the thread title was of one name from my childhood:
Johnny Ball

Yes. The technical term is "Come Dine With Me".

Great shouts on Dinenage, Ball and Nutkins. Just remembered David Bellamy too. Got a lot of time for Nick Owen as well.

I remember that episode of Come Dine with Me. That menu really did backfire.

Although there's also the episode where the woman brought her snake out and it did a tod on the table.

Fred Dinenage is Southern England's only actual achievement in 1000 years.  Brilliant broadcaster.

edit: aaaand it turns out he's from Birmingham

Got a lot of time for Nick Owen as well.

Currently presents Midlands Today. Great example of smooth under pressure when reading the news with a story about a guy dieing after being stabbed at the weekend then into a bloke being sentenced to prison after child images were found on his computer (photo of bloke appears on screen). Into a vt piece about a horse sanctuary before Nick has to apologize for an incorrect photo being shown during the paedo sentencing report "unfortunately we appear to have displayed a photo of the man stabbed to death during our court report, now Suzi when's it going to stop raining?"

Krotoski just made me think of Bits, which then made me think of Vids and that fantastic Welsh bloke who co-presented. He's on the list.
