Gymkata (and unfairly maligned B-movies)

I popped "Gymkata" on last night, the movie starring a former Olympic gymnast and featuring the star's combination kung-fu/gymnastics martial art.

It's got its oddities, like how this eastern European village has a pommel horse in the middle of its main square; some of the acting is a bit ropey too. But it's fun, it doesn't drag its heels getting going and there's plenty of silliness and martial arts action in it.

Please use this topic to tell me how right I am about "Gymkata" or just talk about other movies that got a lot of abuse at the time, but if you see them through the eyes of a fan of a certain genre, are way more fun than expected.

My 11 or so years ago memory of Gymkata suggests that you are indeed right.
