It's brilliant, I had to watch it again over the weekend again after this thread came up. I was disappointed to find that 'An Evening with Harry & Paul' is no longer online, does anyone have it?

I've got An Evening with Harry & Paul somewhere.
I'll stick it on Google Drive or something.

fuck me that story of the twos one is a tour-de-force of bangers isnt it?

Watched it again thanks to this thread - Christ, it's great. What is Whitehouse's Yentob thing supposed to refer to, though?

This is my personal best, just Harry Enfield: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FV323hLLfnA

As for him and Paul, either the Panel Show or Question Time sketches from the latest series come to mind, but there's probably a load I haven't seen from the past. I'll check out some of these suggestions.

Enfield's caller on Down The Line trying to talk to Gary Bellamy whilst repeatedly shouting "WILL YOU SHUT IT?" at his barking dog is absolutely one of the funniest things I've ever heard.

Is there a link for that? I never knew he was on Down The Line.

EDIT: Ah here it is, at the end there: https://youtu.be/A6jn9ASZSPc?t=1627

Neville Chamberlain

Obviously, the Double-Take brothers were the absolute pinnacle of comedy perfection!

I too am going with the Arsenal v Liverpool match. Just watched it recently and it's as funny as ever. Whenever my mates and me see an older gentlemen with a pipe/tash who is well groomed we still (affectionately) refere to them as a "Charles Charile Charles" type.

The Scoucers going to that London.

The Smashy and Nicey End of An Era doc.

And of course anything involving Mr Cholmondley Warner is literally as timeless as ever.

Oh, and someone on here, pointed me in the direction of Norbert Smith - a life, which was fantastic too.

Having a lot of German friends I loved Jürgen the German.

"Martin Scorsese's critically-acclaimed Badfellas" with the swearing dubbed for TV.

Hale and Pace did a similar sketch (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3v6CuC-w6i4).

40-45 years...

QuoteScorsese added that there is a meta aspect to seeing Pacino and De Niro interact in "The Irishman." "What you see in the film is their relationship as actors, as friends, over the past 40, 45 years. There's something magical that happens there," the director said.

Anything that wouldn't be allowed on telly today usually works for me; e.g. the Arab celebrations: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5g-28u1sJrA

Not for any reason other than it's fucking stupid and funny and makes me wish I was an Arab.

It was only 10 years ago, hardly different times. They've always stayed just on the right side of acceptability but always push things, even Story Of The Twos and An Evening With... feature Harry in blackface.

I completely agree but I can't imagine auntie beeb letting 100% of H&P sketches through cum 2020.

The time span to manufactured outrage is tinier than my cock these days. On the flip side you would think 10 years is ample time to get your head around the concept of irony. Just a neurological aberration of being a cunt.

He'll always be Tea Leaf from Psychoville to me.

There was a spoof of Stephen Fry Sunday night ITV type of programme.
I can't find it on You tube but it used to make me howl.
I never watched anything on Sunday night starring Stephen fry,  but it really looked like the sort of whimsy shit Harry was spoofing.
