I've been banned, haven't I?

Buelligan

No, although you fucking deserve it.  I've been getting them too.

Claude the Racecar Driving Rockstar Super Sleuth

Bad Santa was great, but they're really running that prefix into the ground now.

idunnosomename

Bad Gateway! They've run out of Fiendish Feet.

Cuellar

I'm getting the 502 Bad Gateway message and the pages are loading very slowly too. Thought it was just me.

Malcy

Been slow all afternoon.

Claude the Racecar Driving Rockstar Super Sleuth

Could it be another hacker attempting extortion?

Enjoy the last twitches of the corpse, kids.

Captain Z

nginx is the noise I make when the site won't load.

JesusAndYourBush

The site's been slow all day, and I just got my first Bad Gateway about 5 minutes ago.

beanheadmcginty

It was never the same after they rebranded it to Somerfield.

NoSleep

Just came here to start a thread about this; at least it isn't just me.

Been getting this for a couple of days, generally reloading the page sorts it out, but the site has been getting increasingly sluggish over several weeks.

It's the 0bvious Things thread going over 100 pages.

I warned you. I fucking warned you all.

seepage

it's the strain of hosting all of those pictures of cats

olliebean

Could it be DDoS?

<edit> Wow, seems to have suddenly gone back to normal speed the moment I posted that.

NoSleep

yeah... suddenly it's as snappy as all the other websites.

canadagoose

Super weird. Was probably just a ghost or something.

touchingcloth

The web hosts are probably doing something with their infrastructure. Nothing to see I bet.

Twed

It's a value judgement. When I visit CaB I get a message telling me that my gateway, and by extension myself, is excellent.

NoSleep

Barry's turned off all his spyware.

touchingcloth

My gateway is bad, blood.

I don't get why websites do all this 502 your gateway's bad, 404 page not found, etc. Why not think positive and have e.g. a 697 good gateway or a 724 page found or a 138 your hair's looking good today or a 947 nice arse?

It's seems like adding insult to injury, "Yeah, that's right; we know things have gone wrong for you and, rather than fix it, here's this message."

15 then though, so that's probably OK nowadays.

Just for clarity, I noticed that on the GIS there was a picture of a Mirror expose article about Morris that I don't recall reading before, I presume it's been published?

Anyone got a link to the full article?  Here's what I'm referring to:

I'm also now finding it interesting that the wrestling was being axed at the same sort of time.  WWE was, at this time, by and largely done with the extremes of the Attitude Era and was trying to nurture a more family-friendly product.

Owen Hart's death in 1999 arguably played a significant part in their approach.
