The Call of the Weird?

Listened to it on audiobook read by Theroux himself, some good little insight to his weird weekend stuff, revisiting his various weirdos and a brief summation of his time with Ike Turner and that weird cult.

Bennett Brauer

He may mean the latest one with the punny title. Seems to be the same sort of thing, but with more autobiography.

I haven't read it. Stop me if I'm being too helpful.

It's an autobiography through and through, though he does describe some of the documentary episodes in a level of detail I'd probably find annoying if I'd watched them recently.

I got the audiobook version thoroughly enjoyed it. He writes well and he's an interesting person who's had an interesting life. Fun to hear Adam and Joe turn up from time to time, like an Expanded Buckles Universe.
