Some racists don't like black women so it's only sensible to remove them from the shadow cabinet.

Always always pander.

I see the New Statesman has decided to endorse no one this election.

But didn't labour vote for the amendment which is nearly identical or something?  See the end of this

Diane gets so much horrific racist and misogynistic abuse from everywhere. Especially online, where the scum of the scum resides. Raids of cunts from places like Guido Fawkes, Breitbart and god knows what chans are a daily occurrence on her twitter -- seeing some comments makes me feel like we're fucking trapped in hell. What she has to endure is beyond awful (although hopefully she does not read much of it herself).

The amended version means almost nothing. It gets rid of the call to repeal Section 82 and the call get to give devolved parliaments a veto over relevant trade matters.

Zetetic

That's not the conclusion I would draw from that. Plaid put forward a motion that the Senedd should ask for devolved parliaments to given powers with respect to trade deals that affect devolved areas (like health). Welsh Labour neutered it.

Edit: It might be worth considering the powers of the regional parliaments in Belgium or of the Länder in Germany.

It's worth noting that Welsh Labour has been as bad as the Westminster administration (or the SNP) when it comes to pushing the NHS to place some of its most vulnerable patients in American-owned mental health and learning disability hospitals, instead of developing specialist inpatient provision within the health service itself. Welsh Labour is not without unrepentant Third Way-ers. Our health secretary is one example.

(This isn't even just a matter of principle at this point. We've had American-owned hospitals in England neglect an NHS-funded Welsh patient to death in the last couple of years; an inquest jury concluded that understaffing at the hospital had contributed to the patient's death. English regulators - the CQC- mostly don't seem to give a shit about this sort of thing.)

Plaid Cymru is the only party to make any commitment to working to end this practice, as far as I'm aware, although Barbara Keeley in UK/English Labour has made some hints that she would do the same, under Ashworth.

Swinson did ok on Neil, ie just embarrassing, cloying and abysmal, a small step up from previous outings

Did Swinson at any point in her interview ask "where the fuck is Boris Johnson?" If she really wanted to win back some respect she could have unveiled a t-shirt saying exactly that. There should be protests and walkouts at the BBC. It's outrageous.

QuoteJust catching up on the Jo Swinson interview with Andrew Neil. Feels quite significant that she said the most sensible referendum question would be remain v Johnson's withdrawal deal.

Just one good reason to vote Labour.

Yes, maybe a veritable phalanx of confrontational people with identical stupid opinions just love coming here for some reason.
