god it is so depressing seeing that fucking shop website peppered with gambling sites plastered all over St. James Park

kalowski

This game is barmy. I think Newcastle are playing with 15 behind the ball.

imitationleather

Newcastle doing well to hang on to the slender 0:0 lead here.

QuoteGerman Derby county at it again

Wow, a massive compliment for whoever this is aimed at.

Head Gardener

it's weird watching Man Citys strip without my glasses, they look like lemons with their arses smacked, still managed to score though

Let me guess... Aguero (45, Penno)?

THE MAGIC OF THE CUP

I refuse to watch a competition where Arsenal are the plucky underdogs.

Inspector Norse

FA Cup winners since the formation of the Premier League:
Arsenal - 8
Chelsea - 7
Man Utd - 5
Liverpool - 2
Man City - 2
The other 750+ teams, between them - 3[nb]And one of those was effectively declared void after Portsmouth were revealed to have paid for their cup-winning squad with Monopoly money[/nb]

That's a pretty good return for a Steve Bruce side.

That's 17 more appearances than I expected the ponitailed drunk to manage.

Well it was tough for him against Villa with five players marking him. Thankfully briefly spotted the flaw in this tactic and just let the other players get the ball with no one around them. Gayle having less of an open goal proved more lethal than against City too.

He can't break anything of value where he is.
I think people sat down and thought about this. Big football minds.

Hasn't he played for England? You can get capped for neatly collecting a crossfield ball if you play for the right club.

As many England caps as career Premier League goals

Quite like AC's Victorian dad beard though.

Last time I looked he was managing 3rd tier football in Beirut and flouncing at half-time in a local derby when his team were 4-0 down. After he left the stadium, the team rallied to lose 5-4.

Might be thinking of Steve Kean who ended up in Brunei? Maybe it was just an amusing flight of fancy? Pardew did just make a sweet 100 grand for avoiding relegation from the Eredivisie with Den Haag. I mean, they were 7 points adrift from safety until the league was abandoned and relegation and promotion cancelled. Man's a genius.

EOLAN

Chris Kamara on great form again. A clear kick by a Blackburn player on a Barnsley player. Deserved red card. Clear as day.
5 minute conversation as Chris and the team go searching for the reason for the red card.

sevendaughters

Steve Kean is head of scouting for OFI Crete now. Not a bad life.

Pardew did shite at ADO - P8 W1 D3 L4. They'd have faced a relegation play-off and no guarantee they'd have stayed up.

ollyboro

Pardew, another in a long list of bang average managers touted as a future England manager. Peter Taylor (although he did manage England for one game, I think), John Gregory, Brian Little, Bryan Robson, Peter Reid, Alan Curbishly , Gerry Francis etc.

On an unrelated point, every time the camera shows the empty stand at the Brighton match I find myself thinking of Jaffa Cakes.
