And the footballer in a corset and fishnets?

Nah, it was released before #metoo.

Ones from that Kerrang list that I thought were alright:

I like the lo-fi, teenage-outcasts-in-a-small-town vibe of the first two, and the aesthetic of the Scorpions albums is pure American Psycho (although the music would be a little too new wave for Patrick Bateman's taste).

And although I don't like the NOFX or Frenzal Rhomb ones, they are deliberately bad. That's the whole point. Loads of 90s pop punk bands had gross-out album covers.

Pauline Walnuts

There's a lot of noise/metal/punk bands who just put some picture from Rotten.com* for the artwork.

Mate, If they ain't your testicals that's not cool, it's just cheap and lazy.

Germany's first 'independent' band, krautrock-prog vibes, this is their last album...but I prefer the original

The repressings toned it down

That's back to front, of course. Bit subtle...

Are all of those people in the band? Or did they just happen to know two fire eaters and a lady who didn't mind pretending to be a satanist for the afternoon?

At least Jo Swinson's been occupying herself since losing her seat.

A shit load of absolute corkers from the world of rock and metal in this list

https://www.kerrang.com/features/50-of-the-worst-album-covers-in-metal-ever/

Some nice droll comments with each one too.

You're right there's some utter shit in there though I was a bit disappointed it included Rush's Hemispheres in there. Nice artists impression of Richard Herring's brain circa 1998.

Glebe

Boni from The Trap Door has let himself go.

speaking of which - I saw the bloody stage show of this in Munich!

Enrico Palazzo

Trying out Amazon Music and they keep recommending Corey Feldman albums. Dubious algorithm.

Vanden Plas? The Belgian coach builder which became part of British Leyland?

Paul Weller's apparently gone Sythnwave. or possibly Vapourwave?

Vampire bloke (real/fake Dave vANIAN?) on our left going 'Tssk.
Look at the state of those wacky cunts.
We used to be a goth band once.'

Bloke on (our) far right (eta: possibly Danny Baker in a wig, and skull trousers), looks like has a bendy reverse elbow and has stolen half of 'is it the real Captain Sensible''s arm.

Egyptian Feast

That's so shit. I love it, especially Sensible's gurn and half-hearted v-flicking.

I really hated the cover of Damned Damned Damned when I was a kid. I found it in my brother's collection and it must have crossed some sort of line with me. I thought they were horrible people.

"Can you make it look like we're not actually on the beach and we're all on heart medicine?"

bgmnts

Animal Magnetism is incredible. Closest album cover in tone to Tap's Smell the Glove?

That seems to be the logical, if unfortunate, 40 year progression from Machine Gun Etiquette.

purlieu

Captain doing his best 'Totally Lost It UKIP Punk Wanker' impression there.
Funny that.

Pauline Walnuts

The fact the artwork cost more than the recording of the first album, probably, is of course what makes it even worser.

lazyhour

Just discovered this 1976 album by The Sweet.

The original drummer for A Bunch of Wallies will never be forgotten, thanks to the cover of their first EP.

Looks alright to me. Of course, its futuristic vibe will be totally at odds with his boring old git rock.
