Favourite Beatles Album Track From 1963

I was listening to 'With The Beatles' last night and absolutely loved it. For pure enjoyment and joyousness, it rivals any album they did. Even one of the weakest tracks, 'Little Child', has a wicked harmonica wailing in the background. If I had to pick just one track, I would go for 'Not A Second Time':

Their version of 'You Really Got a Hold on Me' is probably my favourite on WTB, but 'It Won't Be Long' is a cracking opener.

Great interview by David Coleman with The Beatles at London Airport, 22.2.64:

I ADORE 'Little Child'. That's the sound of Beatlemania, right there. Fuck.

Is 'Devil In Her Heart' on that one too? That slays me every time.

'There's A Place' MIGHT be my very favourite Fabs' track from 1963.

It Won't Be Long + All I've Gotta Do.

I only just realised the wordplay of "be long / belong". Doofus.

Bonus: I'll Get You

Not A Second Time I've always enjoyed; all John, essentially.  I like the amount of energy Paul puts into the chorus of Hold Me Tight as well.

Some Other Guy - if the BBC album counts - though this live version recorded at the Cavern is even better (the first version - the second take is a bit shonky)

From the proper albums, I've always enjoyed Hold Me Tights - love to hear the Please Please Me version of that.

Sin Agog

I'll side with Dylan and go with 'Dost Thou Wish For Me to Regale Thee With a Secret?' He called it, 'A perfect sappy '50s love ballad and nobody but them could do it.'

Yes. Could be their most underrated song. More introspective lyrics than was usual for the time. The reverb on the harmonica. Ringo's fills. The brightness and bite on those harmonies - 'the things you saiiiiidddd...'

YES!!

Ringo especially. If anyone doubts his excellence, just play 'em that. The man's AFLAME

'I'll Cry Instead' from '64, if anyone's asking.

Anyway With gets shat on as being a bit of an inbetweener twixt Beatlemania and the later stuff but they churned stuff out so quick them days just be glad it exists. All My Loving of course. Roll Over Beethoven is also the version I grew up with so soft spot for that

I'm amazed anyone still doubts why Pete Best was fired.

Slightly O/T because this is from 1965 but I heard Silkie's cover of "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away" for the first time ever yesterday and thought the harmonies were lovely:
