Natnar

Love My Way by Psychedelic Furs turns into Loving The Alien by Bowie.

Captain Z

I want your love and I want your revenge
You and me could write a bad romance
I want your love and all your lover's revenge
You and me could write a bad romance
Woah oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Building a bridge to your heart

Captain Z

If you're lost, you can look and you will find me
Eight days a week

JaDanketies

Once in Royal David's City
In a funky, cheap motel
She took my heart and she took my money
Must have slipped me a sleeping pill

non capisco

I am a woman in love
And I'd do anything to get you into my world
And hold you within
Ooh baby baby
Oops! You think I'm in love
That I'm sent from abo-o-o-ove
I'm not that innocent

I've just learned that the real lyric isn't "Welcome to New York City, in a pumpkin she goes down". Jesus.

Utter Shit

Around the time Loyal by Chris Brown and Royal by Lorde came out, I couldn't stop singing the lyrics from the former to the tune of the latter. Something about that theatrical poppy melody with the lyrics "these hoes ain't loyal (looooyal)" made me laugh.

Brundle-Fly

Whiny chorus of Yellow by Coldplay into the 'Ill keep holding on' bit in Holding Back The Years by Simply Red.

Sam
You've been waiting much too long now
It looks like she's not coming home

Sam
You've been loyal, true and faithful
All this time with being alone

Now, Andy did you hear about this one?
Tell me, are you locked in the punch?
Andy are you goofing on Elvis? Hey, baby?
Hey, baby, are we losing touch?

I'll be your substitute
Whenever you want me, ohoho
Don't you know I'll be your substitute
Whenever you need me, oho

Just listened to Mac Davis, writer of A Little Less Conversation, In the Ghetto and many others, being interviewed on Gilbert Gottfried's podcast.  He tells how one day as he was playing golf he was humming the tune to one of his other songs, It's Hard to be Humble.  As he hummed it he picked up the pace and within a couple of bars realised that the tune he was singing was now The Mexican Hat Dance - it hadn't changed into that, it had been that all along, only slowed down!  Apparently neither him nor anyone else had noticed before.  As he says, he was lucky the music was in the public domain.

I was beat
Incomplete
I'd been had, I was sad and blue
But you made me feel
Yeah, you made me feel
Shiny and new
Tonight the super trouper lights are gonna find me
Shining like the sun (su-per-per  trou-per-per)
Smiling, having fun (su-per-per trou-per-per)
Feeling like a number one

Jockice

I heard Look Away by Big Country on the radio yesterday. It immediately morphed into Move Away by Culture Club and Run Runaway by Slade.

The funeral scene from Philip Glass' opera Akhnaten is very powerful but the opening drum beats have a disappointing tendency to morph into

Oz Oz Alice

Captain Z

Ooh baby do you know what that's worth, darling
you give love a bad name

It's real easy to go into Blackberry Way when singing Penny Lane

Lewis Capaldi - Someone You Loved and dragostea din tei

Now the day bleeds
Into nightfall
And you're not here
To get me through it all
I let my guard down
And then you pulled the rug
I was getting kinda used to being someone you loved
I'm going under and this time I fear there's no one to turn to
This all or nothing way of loving got me sleeping without you
Ma-i-a hi
Ma-i-a hu
Ma-i-a ho
Ma-i-a ha-ha

And from Blackberry Way to this...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIsW6DMR9z4

For some reason I thought Nilsson ripped it off them but it looks like it might've been the other way around.

Cloudsong by Riverdance and "Baby, Don't Change Your Mind" by Gladys Knight and the Pips "
Baby,
I am living to nourish you, cherish you,
I am pulsing the blood in your veins,
Be strong and leave the past behind
Baby, don't change your mind
Don't change it, don't you change it
