I went on their messageboards yesterday, and for a laugh posted a link to our football team's website. Bit of promotional fun, nothing serious, just harmless fun.
Got an email back saying my post had been rejected because I put a link in, and because they can't possibly verify ever link ppl post, they had to reject it, I dunno, in case I'm posting porn or something?

I mean what's the world coming to eh.

InfiniteFury

Sounds irritating but I can sort of see their point in a one-size-fits-all kind of way.

Doesn't 606 stress that it's a community moderated environment and there's no-one on hand. Guess they just have to automate wherever possible to protect against idiots (not directed at you obviously)

Yeah I can see their point... just bloody annoying!

The few idiots spoil things for everyone. I pay my license fee!

Purple Tentacle

You can't advertise on the BBC.

Just ask Alan Partridge.

Captain Crunch

I got censored by the BBC for posting the telephone number to Burger King and saying it was for Take a Break magazine.  It made my day in a kind of godiwishiwasdead way.
