Always thought that the first ep of Newman and Baddiel in Pieces was cracking from start to finish. One of the most underrated shows of the 90s really. The running gag of Newman having a vision of his future wedding anniversary and the payoff to that is still one of my most favourite things.

I think Python is basically considered quite a lot less offensive than it was when it was broadcast - although for different reasons. It can't really be considered dated if it was always supposed to be somewhat 'edgy' (even if they probably wouldn't get away with it today).
I've read the odd Guardian article dismissing it as a lot of posh white men, but I think that they were saying it was boring rather than it offended them.
