It's not that impressive really. I could have made that prediction most weeks the last two years and had a good chance of being right.

I don't want to complain too much about that performance as it was full o' heart and effort, but that's now 150 minutes of rugby without scoring a single point. I know I've whined about this before on here, but it is so frustrating how we've gone from being the most exciting team to watch to one of, if not the, the most boring. We have become very formulaic in attack, and you can probably count on one hand the number of tries scored from our own half since 2018. We're long overdue a full rebuild, especially in the forwards. Otherwise we will just continue a slow decline towards the bottom of the table.

I do enjoy the RFL disciplinary process. They list the reasons why Fonua's tackle was perfectly legal, then still say that a yellow card was sufficient punishment. Would it really be so hard to admit an official made a mistake?

Depends on what you mean by 'allowed'. The one time it's happened the player involved received a six month ban. But he wasn't summarily executed and the RFL's PreCrime department didn't prevent it from taking place. So I guess in that sense it was 'allowed' to happen.
