Every now and then, usually when I'm feeling a bit like a loose end, I'll go through a phase of watching those melodramatic Youtube channels about Internet Mysteries, murder mysteries, dark Web mysteries etc. like I did when I was 13 and obsessed with this kind of thing and read Reddit threads about unexplained things, and usually roll my eyes cause they're fucking stupid and easily explainable 99% of the time. Sometimes you find a pure odd one though.

If you search the name "Padma McCord" on Google, thousands and thousands of nonsense autogenerated-looking results come up that are all Padma's fictional businesses and magazines and companies. None of them are real at all. There's no content if you click any links, just thousands and thousands of dummy links to realestate and modelling and stub imdb pages and "books" by "Padma McCord" that don't exist.

If you search Padma McCord images there are thousands and thousands of heavily and badly photoshopped images of a woman, presumably to give visual credibility to the dummy links. I'm not gonna post loads of pics but if you literally just Google Padma McCord you're sorted.

Padma McCord The Model/President

Padma McCord realestate website or whatever it's supposed to be

https://www.padmamccord.org

It's all pure nonsense. Dummy companies, thousands and thousands of nothing search results for Padma McCord and pictures of a pure bedraggled unhinged looking Indian woman covered in as many beauty filters as possible. The amount of gibberish Padma McCord content on the internet is unprecedented.

There's also a few videos of Padma rambling about God and whores. They're virtually impossible to find among the sea of other Padma McCord stuff. They were compiled in a video by Nexpo on Youtube but that's been taken down, apparently at Padma's request.

There's been a bit of speculation from Reddit cunts. I've been thinking about Padma McCord a lot just cause it's so odd, and I think I've more or less got it vaguely figured out because fuck knows what else it could be.

The face of the woman in the pics is not Padma but the bodies are. There's a bunch of pictures on the "Padma McCord Website" of the woman with a husband and son who look perfectly ordinary, then this pure Baby Jane looking lass just in the middle, it doesn't add up. So the real Padma McCord is likely a rich businesswoman or stock photo model of some kind that for whatever reason a possibly schizophrenic woman has become obsessed with and photoshop her face onto.

AND, apparently a porn link for Padma McCord comes up way way back before the thousands and thousands of Padma McCord dummy links and websites way back the first page of the Google results. A few people have speculated that the woman found out early into her delusional fixation with the real Padma McCord that Padma McCord had done a bit of porn back in the day and this clashed with her heavily religious delusions (remember I said there's videos of her ranting about god and whores), so she decided to build up a massive wall of fake Padma McCord search results to mask the porn history of the random woman she is obsessed with. There's nowt as queen as folk eh. I'm oddly interested by this sort of thing. Discovering what seems to be the internet footprint of someone who is psychologically in a rabbit hole of nonsense that only makes logical sense to them. Anyone else found any odd stuff like this in the past?

What the fuck is up with that cunt's voice?

Oh god, narrator voices on these kind of channels are always ridiculous, I don't know what they're trying to achieve exactly.

Mister Six

His is especially bad. Every sentence ends with an absurdly drawn out upward inflection.

Chills is (in)famous for having a mega fucked up voice.

Top5s has a weedy sounding, timid Chepstow accent which isnt that offensive.

Chills is incredible though. I think he actually does music too!

Spookily, those are the exact words that I said on watching it. Let's make a Youtube video about this incredible coincidence!

Yeah I'd definitely say this is the work of someone with some kind of mental illness. When a good friend of mine was at his most unhinged and elevated with his hypomania; he would always be telling me about a new 'company' he'd just started; a new charity, a new meals on wheels that delivered Sunday roasts, all kinds of stuff. He would go so far as to hand out wristbands to bemused members of the public with a website address on them...typing in the url would lead you to a template website with nothing behind it, he'd have procured a domain name and made a semi legible home page or something. For the roast venture there would even be an online menu etc he'd concocted, but it was all superficial and led to nothing at the end of the day. This seems similar to me, but maybe done by someone who has been ill and had more time to produce more and more sites and images over a greater amount of time. Doesn't completely explain the images and appropriation of the persons name and body though. These things unnerve me way more than they should, not sure why.

I like this Fred Knudsen fella, and his Youtube series Down the Rabbit Hole, who chronicles online characters and their undoings in a sympathetic way without doing so in an annoying voice. I found this particular story, about a guy advocating his incredibly strange operating system Temple OS to be incredibly sad and affecting as well as intriguing and well made. Sometimes when he's just showing back and forths over forum comments it can be a bit laborious but overall its a compelling story.

I think Padma McCord would unnerve anyone eh, I definitely support the theories I've seen that it's a possibly schizophrenic woman who, as people with delusions and mania often can, has inexplicably zeroed in on this completely random person on the internet and worked to insert herself into what tiny snippets of their life she can find. There's a guy who's done a pretty sound little speculation video about it - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hn7BBBdl7GQ he's obvs just thrown it together but I pretty much agree with him. That Padma McCord eh what a silly bugger. Also, I've just noticed, if you search Padma McCord on Youtube sure enough there's a load of meaningless picture slideshow videos of her face and weirdly doctored weddiing photos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qyXeft_6e8  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjB0Wz3stNY&t=15s Classic Padma

I was watching Fred Knudsen's video on Chris Chan last night This is the kind of channel I get pure sucked into. The right combination of video length, clear and direct narration and weirdness of content is oddly relaxing sometimes

Its half hearted bollocks even by conspiracy theory standard. Some have postulated that Kevin Sullivan did it!

I think once you get hit in the head so many times it concusses you to the point of wrecking your brain and you need to take steroids and enough painpills and drugs just to function, its likely to lead to a psychotic episode.

WWE are at fault really, lots and lots of deaths are on their hands.

Yeah love that one. There's always a weird twilight vibe about those Adelaide beaches and I can definitely imagine an abandoned Nazi spy eating his last pastie on a lonely park bench.

Ted the Caver in Floyd's Tomb. I can barely even open the page without being dragged into the whole saga but the story is compelling and as oppressive and claustrophobic as the caves themselves. The white text on black background messes with your head and even though it's just about strange happenings, it's one of the best.

Yep he wasnt the only wrestler to nuts due to head injuries; boxers and american football players and paul ross too. Theres a great Radiolab podcast about it

To expand on this whole culture of documenting internet peoples downfalls and declines, it's always made me very uncomfortable going way back to  when I first read the Jessi Slaughter article on Knowyourmeme. Yes she says some pretty foul stuff but she a young and brainless teenager coming from a questionable background. And then displayed and immortalized on youtube forevermore for people to throw scorn and judgement at. 2010 internet culture was brutal and horrible really. I'm glad I wasnt a 13 year old with a platform to broadcast myself into the world I'll tell you that much.

Same goes for Chris chan. Someone evidently with some kind of learning disability who is a source of ridicule to such a level he almost transcends obscure internet celebrity. I find it pretty horrible

Saying all that; I've weirdly got a bit sucked into the whole Onision drama out of morbid fascination. Some of his latest YouTube videos are just beyond.

The fact that people went out of their way to mess with Chris-Chan IRL is fucked up.

I've just watched this video and it was brilliant. Disturbing and funny at the same time. Ended up with a fit of giggles over one particular bit where's he's having a rage-filled shouting match with his parents; went something like (I'm paraphrasing):

Terry (screaming): The dog...... is...... being...... raped!"
Terry's dad (bemused): By who?
Terry: BY OTHER DOGS!!!

Felt sad at the end...

The Crime in Sports podcast brings up "brain damage sports" quite a lot.
It would certainly explain the behaviour of some of the subjects.
Others are just cunts though.

Yeah it's great, with enough cohesion that it really feels like watching a documentary film...its very uncomfortable to watch things get worse and worse for Terry. I find people like him fascinating because despite his operating system being bizarre, shoddy and overtly Christian, you can tell that he also possesses a wild and impressive talent to in am erratic way that some people do.

My "favourite" was the person behind www.five.org.uk / www.mi5.com - defunct for a couple of years, but still viewable on the Wayback Machine at: https://web.archive.org/web/20080209095732/http://www.five.org.uk/

This site was first mentioned on here all the way back in 2004, and I used to check in on it every couple of years to see what he was up to. Having Googled the fellow's name, I discover there was an opera made about him (!) and that he was most active back in the 90s, on Usenet and other early internet places. I emailed him a few times and got rational-sounding replies, but it was a hermetically sealed belief system and I just hope he got some help for his mental health issues, or the MI5 pranksters stopped messing with him, either way.

His site is like the perfect example of that sort of extreme paranoia / delusional mindset and ought to be studied (and probably has been).

From reading another thread, I remember the guy used to advertise his site in the back of Private Eye, which is where I first found out about him.
