This week on Mastermind, currently on iPlayer, one of the contestants chose 1970's and 80's UK TV Sitcoms as her specialist subject. Not to blow my own tuba, but this was right up my alley. I got ten points, exactly the same as she did, can any other readers beat that?

No, I scored the same, but it was worth it to be able to confidently shout e.g. "Bruce Forsyth!"

That's quite a general subject. Didn't someone do Father Ted a few years ago, which is a lot more manageable? There was a press report a while ago about Fawlty Towers being banned as a subject, although I can't recall anyone actually doing it.

Not really banned, just that narrow-ish subjects once 'done' tend to be ruled out on the basis that it makes the question researchers job more difficult.   https://www.radiotimes.com/news/tv/2018-02-09/how-to-choose-the-perfect-specialist-subject-on-mastermind/
