I've used 4 free Audible trials so far, all on the same account. Last time was for the Nomad audiobook so it's been a while, but they definitely give you recurring offers.

I think it must be one or two a year because every time something comes out I'm interested in (but not interested enough to just buy on itunes) audible give it to me for free.

I think I'm the only sucker paying for Audible at this point. And I have about 500 unused credits. I just can't find enough mediocre music memoirs

bgmnts

That ending was a little bit of a heartstrings tugger. Sad it's over now, will definitely have to go back through it again.

The Mr Kipling line is very Saxondale.

There's several times I've felt this could be Saxondale speaking, not complaining though.

magval

Just pay for it for fucks sake lads because if enough people stop paying for things we like then the people we like will stop making them :-(

Alan is in fact wrong when he says Wikipedia shows the IP of all users who edit pages. It's only ones that don't log in!!!!!!

Menu

He's also wrong when he describes 'As Time Goes By' as an '80s sitcom'.

I was fucking fuming when I heard that.

No, no. It was broken. But you shamed me into getting a new one. Thank you.

The podcast might be my fave partridge thing yet

Is APFTO the first time in the Partridge canon where Alan has said "cunts"?

Shocked me a bit, that.

Really caught me off-guard but, bloody hell, it made me laugh.

I'm sure he's said it before. There's a bit in one of the Sky mocumentaries where he encounters an old teacher and calls him a cunt but I think it might have been slightly obscured by the voiceover.

ASFTSN

The Elba/Hiddleston James/Bond pitch is fucking gold.

ZoyzaSorris

So good, will have to listen again soon. One bit of many faves that comes to mind is when he is talking about the young offender and talks about getting high off nature instead of drugs, with the specific example of seeing a diving kingfisher that 'almost made my eyes roll back into my skull' or words to that effect.

Twonty Gostelow

Cracked up at the

mix-up. Also when he says a lower case "audible" and the

.

It's actually pretty clear, at 37:00 https://vimeo.com/117772481.

Same. Have to say on here (and generally) it's a pretty meaningless insult now. Prick seems to be more vitriolic.

Thought this was the perfect use.

Just started on Ep1 - the mention of
Spoiler alert
leaving the BBC under a cloud

does that mean that

he was sacked from this Time?

I thought he meant

leaving NN Digital/Shape(?) - the radio station is what I am trying to say.

Whole thing has been ruined by the bit where he talks about

because as we all know Alan famously has

a fat back.

H-O-W-L

I do like the ending a lot. It shows, as Coogan has always said, that Alan is ultimately decent at his core. As puffed-up and foolish as he can be, he knows when to do the right thing.

BeardFaceMan

I think I'm going to put all the Partridge stuff I have in a chronological audio playlist. It might send me mad working through that but fuck it, it's good stuff.

Not at all. You have behaved impeccably throughout this whole imbroglio. I shall rest tonight a better man. Thank you.
