Going Out West - Tom Waits or Queens of the Stoneage.
Both amazing for feeling tough and indestructible.

I'll always associate this song with being about 16 and discovering the joys of wearing way too much eyeliner, sneaking into bars underage and generally feeling invincible. Sohodolls - Stripper: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2L1A9taR0UY
They were good fun live as well (that bondage tape skit wasn't just reserved for the above video).

Anyway, Nine Inch Nails - Reptile is a go-to for feeling like taking a baseball bat to an old fridge (slightly ridiculous lyrics notwithstanding): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJwt9qJb6Sw

And Tomahawk - God Hates A Coward is just perfection for this, it's so mesmerisingly taut and savage. Posting this live version as I think it's honestly one of my favourite things on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0aA5NxTujqg

I like to plug the Gretsch into the Fender Studio amp, and just thrash out What's The Frequency Kenneth, by REM, simple chords but so raucous, easily to play but sounds EPIC!

Completely agree, although I associate it less with actually feeling like a badass and more feeling incredibly pissed off, disenfranchised and grasping for something to make me feel bigger than myself and less helpless..reason being this is the very song I stomped about London listening to on my headphones on extreme repeat the day of the Brexit referendum results. It's a testament to how amazing a tune it is that it hasn't soured for me as a result. My joint favourite M. Patton thing with 'Retrovertigo', I reckon.

If its vicarious thrills it's this DJ Scud beauty

Years ago Cherub by the Butthole Surfers or Kitty Empire by Big Black - you can't beat being 15 and sneering "I piss on everything you value" at a tree before you get home and try not wake your mum up.

But the winner is, as if so often is, ZZ Top

This new one from King Buzzo (and Trevor Dunn) is pretty bad ass

It reminds me too much of 'Superman' by Black Lace to make me feel like a badass.
