John Woo is a strong contender, perhaps The Killer or Hard Boiled

Lots of Peckinpah's movies must be candidates. I'd give the nod (very slowly) to Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia.

Resident Evil Afterlife or Retribution may actually be a contender.

They really stretched the running time.

Got to be 300, hasn't it? The thing would only be 20 minutes long if it ran at full speed. Problem of adapting a comic that's only about 90 pages long, and mostly just massive splash panels of greasy blokes.

Ah might do this one, seeing as it's such a daft film

I'm sure that last Lord of the Rings film would be half as long if the characters all spoke at a normal speed.

2001: A Space Oddysseyy feels like it's all in slow motion, but would probably fit the related category of film most improved by playing at double or triple speed.
