Shoulders?-Stomach!

The media themselves moan about it but they are part of the problem why the restarts are so long and unwieldy. In a county game that's affected by drizzle but not much more they don't piss about, they're on in 15 minutes once it's decided its OK to resume. It's all these live text hacks, stats truck drones, dogsbodies, runners and anchors who need their precious notice to resume positions that bloat the process out.

Another thing, play is supposedly due to resume very soon but you wouldn't know it from BBC sport or Cricinfo (at least the latter has only now sluggishly turned the live updates on - but said virtually nothing). So we aren't even getting much value.

finnquark

Wonder why play starts at 11 when there isn't a crowd, especially given the forecast for clouds and potential bad light.

Shoulders?-Stomach!

Denly there, again. Embarrassing. 27 minutes, no runs.

iamcoop

Denly GONE. Full paed OVERDRIVE. This is what it's all about.

ollyboro

Joe Denly must be given every opportunity to sort his technique out. He's only 34.

finnquark

Athers sat, exasperated, at third man, like an uncle who has had just the one pint to take the edge off.

iamcoop

Denly is fucking bio waste and needs to be dealt with as such. Burns GONE, summer is finally here.

Shoulders?-Stomach!

Crawley and Stokes at 4 & 5 lol

Lol Crawley has never played a single first class innings at 4.

Shoulders?-Stomach!

Lol 'it's not easy for the selectors to choose between Denly and Crawley for the next test if Crawley gets some runs here'

Ha lol yeh rite

ollyboro

I get neck ache watching Burns bat. He looks like a bloke keeping an eye out whilst he has a shit in a suburban bush.

Shoulders?-Stomach!

'Nice countryside setting with the motorway only 200 metres away'

Lol what are u on about

Inspector Norse

Denly second innings 12* off 271 balls

Nailed on pick for Old Trafford

Cuellar

king_tubby

Don't worry, there'll be another one along in a minute.

Shoulders?-Stomach!

finnquark

Crawley goes, back to his late 18th Century estate.

Inspector Norse

Two teams with top pace attacks and joke batting, will be a fun series.

Pope gone. Gonna be bowling at West Indies before tea. In fact that might not be such a bad thing given today will be the hardest to bat on. We will need to get them 4 down by close to stay in this game.

ollyboro

Time to play our Covid card. Denly can make himself useful by catching it and getting this shit show abandoned.

Shoulders?-Stomach!

Interesting stick or twist here, do we want to spend the rest of the day accumulating 100 runs only to have to bowl at West Indies in the sunshine tomorrow or just slog 40 or so and bowl at the West Indies for 40 overs in these conditions ?

Shoulders?-Stomach!

'How long did it take you to find out that Cook was born on a Tuesday?

... About 13 seconds.'

Haha. Take that Simon Mann.

I think this decision has been taken out of our hands.

Shoulders?-Stomach!

Buttler and Stokes gone so sticking with prediction to be bowling to Windies before tea.

Shoulders?-Stomach!

Taking an early tea! Twats. But yeah, 1 session to take a few wickets and we are under pressure.

Shoulders?-Stomach!

Yeah let's get that new ball nice and soft and old with short pitched bowling in English conditions.
