Has there been a scummier family of cricketers than the Akmals? This little turd is arguably even more hateable than Kamran. Had a real talent and pissed it all away. And they all look guiltier than RON. Guilty genes.

Vaughan and Tuffers talking up the achievements of the legendary Hundred. It's delivered so much for English cricket. Vaughany's only worry is the logistical nightmare caused by all the posters that have already been printed.

Let's face it, even if it does take off, within 1-2 years it will already have been eclipsed by whatever India does next. The 6-Ball Rape Off, Tonkaroony, Beamer Rage, Kohli-Sharma Bat Forever.

Thing is, if you scrap the Hundred you're just marginalising women.

Tuffers compares it to when 'they made the car go over 40 miles an hour and everyone thought they would suffocate themselves'.

Gayle goes on bizarre rant about Sarwan. Since when did Gayle care who he plays for? I see he has already found another team.

Finished the last 2 episodes of The Test on Amazon prime.

Core theme about rebuilding team ethics kind of peters out as soon as they start sledging Kohli and the bad boys come back into the side. There was a nod to it at the end but it didn't really hold true.

The editors tried their best to make a 2-2 draw look like a fairytale Ashes win but not quite. The 5th test has about 8 minutes devoted to it

Langer kicking a bin over and having to replace the rubbish one by one is unmissable TV, just up there with Courtney Walsh giving it the biggun to McGrath.

They were a team desperately hoping their star player performed though. Sadly they have Smith and Mini Me now so probs gonna graverape the munged out carcass of post-Covid English cricket next time around.

ECB showin "Live" England vs Windies at Old Trafford, 2007.

Not a classic test as they appear to advertise, but competitive and features some interesting moments, 7-66 for Sammy on debut, a really nice bouncy wicket with something in it for everyone, Pietersen being out hit wicket with his helmet falling off, and West Indies putting on a fantastic effort to chase 460.

The pivotal moment in modern English cricket is now nearly here. Australia lose their 9th wicket.

Can they chase down the remaining runs?

Devon Malcolm ripping through SA at the Oval in 1994. Astonishing aggression and pace, delivered with a not inconsiderable amount of skill. Memories!

There's an annoying bassy noise coming from somewhere in the building and I've been struggling to get to sleep. Stuff like that is great for absolutely fucking the last brain juices out of you. I must have dropped off to sleep within 10 minutes of making that post.

The challenge is ridiculous. You have to average at least 5 names a minute. Doable for the first 10-15 minutes, then because of the length of Anderson's career that requires wracking through 3 or 4 eras of 8 different test teams, from their regular players to their inbetweeny didn't-cut-it players. Shitty New Zealand batsmen, obscure early 00s Zimbawean all-rounders, players that seem like they were from a different era altogether. It is incredible.

Anything above 125 is a decent effort (I reckon I gave it a decent effort so awarding myself that) as that's a name every 20 seconds.

I've been watching Vice's latest 'Dark Side of the Ring' series about disturbing and infamous moments in Pro Wrestling and I wandered what cricketing equivalents would be - maybe The demise of Hansie Cronje, the death of Bob Woolmer, the terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan team, sandpapergate? Any others?
