Same as SMBH, my current and most successful relationship came very close to the end of the previous (good, but flawed) relationship. Before that I would flounder for 3 years at a time at least three times. Felt like hell at the time and really tied myself up in knots about it, but I can see how being alone a lot made me independent and industrious.
