The shotgun in Doom 3 is a joke. The spread is more than happens in the youtube video where the guy fires a super sawn-off so short the shells are poking out the end of the barrel. No such weapon would be made. The sounds for the weapons are also cack, the assault rifle in particular.

You can partially sort these out with mods on PC though and apart from those issues, I think it's great. Great atmosphere, world-building, monster design and animation.
