If all the big cunt companies offering free coffees etc to NHS workers had paid their fucking taxes maybe we'd have the capacity to deal with this. Cunts.

This is pretty much at the crux of everything wrong really, in a nutshell.

I've got my fingers crossed TVChaos will open their doors to anyone. Long enough for me to get a membership, at least.

Can't believe the quality of some of the older recordings either. I know proper old-school film cameras were essentially HD anyway, but even so. Crikey.

Which piece? The Tchaikovsky or the Rachy? I do love Pyotr, but Sergei will always be my dog (although I hear Karajan preferred the former). Then again, Wagner was his favourite composer (due to him being a big old Nazi himself) so what does he know about music?

EDIT: Looks like there are a couple of full Simon Rattle-conducted Ring performances on there too...although sadly not the full cycle.

The Wire magazine access to archive free for a week

It might take a bit longer than a week to read every issue of " Wire" magazine...
Just joshing, just read the Stephen Malkmus and Kim Gordon interviews from last year, and John Peel's Invisible Jukebox from Jan.1995, so I'm happy with those.
