Does anyone like baking

QuoteBread Ahead, the bakery school based in Borough Market, is running free baking tutorials every day at 2pm on Instagram. This week's classes include brownies, breadsticks and carrot cake.

Not quite the paywall-down material of the rest of the thread, but there's Taskmaster's #hometasking challenge/activity/whatever. Info video by Alex is here; first task is set here. I've been enjoying today's collection of videos on Twitter; some are genuinely clever, but there's a reassuring mundanity even in the ones involving inept and overexcited children. It's a repository of good will.

Which piece? The Tchaikovsky or the Rachy? I do love Pyotr, but Sergei will always be my dog (although I hear Karajan preferred the former). Then again, Wagner was his favourite composer (due to him being a big old Nazi himself) so what does he know about music?

Both! Love the Rachmaninoff piece as it is so always enjoy hearing that but I love the way the first one is shot and like you said the old stuff restored in HD can look bloody lovely.

Here's a bit of free stuff. The best audiobook ever made, only released on cassette, so pretty much unavailable.

Cheers. I have the book but not read it yet.

Sort of fitting if you've not encountered it:  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC951AqujycbBI083GmKRY3A

Two guys introduce a horror film each month, favouring the less nasty end of the spectrum.  Some of the films aren't as obscure as they seem to think but hey, they're probably due a rewatch if you've already seen them.

#mymate says that PornHub has amusingly been renamed StayathomeHub, but they're still not giving us free premium like they have the Italians. Mamma mia!

Pornhub Premium is now free here in Ireland, maybe it's free in Britain now too? I don't know what you get in premium compared to just browsing but I guess I'll find out soon enough.

Thank you so much for this, was pissing myself laughing during my shop excursions today. I urge everyone to listen to this.

Been waiting for quite a while to listen to the Tom Baker.  No chance it isn't going to be life-affirming.

It's also Tom Baker-affirming, like this.

Ordered myself some free beers from Beer52: https://www.beer52.com/subscription It was originally via a TimeOut offer which seems to have expired now, but looks like if you subscribe directly you still get your first box free and you can cancel after that.

Free Moog and Korg apps to while away the time, apparently: https://pitchfork.com/news/moog-and-korg-release-synthesizer-apps-for-free-amid-social-distancing/?utm_source=wordfly&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2003SS-PositiveVibes&utm_content=version_A&sourceNumber=4625

The Korg one is no longer showing as free on my Android phone, but my self-isolating high-risk dad's sent me a video of him wanking around (musically) on his iPad, which was quite nice.

If I ever get the download to work I'm gonna start a new project called HIGH RISK DAD

Gutted. Was looking forward to pissing around on that but I'm not paying £18 for the privilege.
