That's right.

Pay only £12.

NO hidden fees.

NO strings attached.

NO catches.

Just £12.

Replies From View

Let me guess:  it is actually £12.99

No!

Just £12

Pay only £12

Replies From View

No I suspect it will instead be £12.99, so good day to you sir

Kryton

I'M NOT PAYING THIRTEEN QUID.

Replies From View

Exactly - £12.99 is only a penny away from £13 and I have been stung by that strategy at least far too many times in my life.

Come on guys, just £12. You probably spend that much on coffee every day! Not a big amount to ask is it.

Replies From View

Mate I spend £12 on pissing every day, never mind coffee, purely because the most luxurious train stations of the UK charge 50p a piss and there's no way I'm risking getting coronavirus off of a toilet more openly accessed by plebs.

What I object to is the inevitability of this actually being £12.99.

As I have said countless times before:

Once bitten and twice shy*
I keep my distance
But you still catch my eye
Tell me, baby
Do you recognize me?
Well, it's been a year
It doesn't surprise me

*about it actually being £12.99 rather than £12.

So.....

I got a receipt. Guess what it says on it? £12.99. I should have listened to Replies. Fucking livid right now.

Glebe

Saw if for £1.49. In Poundland.

Captain Z

I was very tempted but I'm just drinking my coffee now instead. Maybe tomorrow?

Ferris

Does anyone have change?

£12 seems a lot, in the circumstances.
