Danger Man

Coronavirus got him.

QuoteThe comedian Eddie Large has died from coronavirus aged 78, his family said today.
The comedian, real name Edward Hugh McGinnis, was best known for his Little and Large double act with Syd Little.

he does have the underlying health condition of being a big fat cunt though

This place being what it is, I was 99.999 percent sure this going to end as something like '....fed up with being under lockdown.'  We are the boys who cry wolf, here.  As for Eddie, I'm sure there'll be a large amount of grief for him, including not a little from comedy partner, Syd.

Butchers Blind

We will never see his like again.

Pseudopath

My heart goes out to his comedy partner, but I know that would be Little consolation.

Gee, musky smell (emanating from the body).

pigamus

He isn't pretending to be just lying there. He is just lying there.

bigfatheart

To be fair, Syd Little was declared dead on a weekly basis in the 70s and 80s after being found unresponsive.

Eddie was under care due to heart failure before he got the virus, so it could have done more with going to him.

Doc Martin won't be the same without him

Eddie Large has sacrificed himself to take our eating sins upon himself and absolve us of obesity.  He is the fatty-Christ.

The Culture Bunker

I flicked through the autobiography of former Man City player Paul Lake a while back, and he had a nice anecdote about Edward. Back in 1989, "the Citizens" were looking to win promotion back to the top flight, and faced Bournemouth at Maine Road needing a win to make it certain. At half-time, they were 3-0 up and thus the manager decided to forgo his usual team talk and handed over to top celebrity fan Eddie Large, who went through his set of hilarious impressions.

The game finished 3-3.

Pseudopath

If just one good thing does result from his death, it's that he's reminded me of this classic thread. Those tags were incredible.

It could have done once-but he and Syd are off the TV now.

Some good news for my dad at last.

We have Syd Little Junior among us?

DrGreggles

[tag]Eddie's ashes are blown by a strong wind onto Syd's freshly-washed white sheets[/tag]

Abnormal Palm

Germany would have recorded this death as heart problems rather than corono so that's why the figures are distorted in the this country. Coron is basically scoring tap ins.

Unprecedented cark in these uncertain times.

He seemed sort of ok didn't he?  Let's pull out a RIP for him.
