Did a search and couldn't find any thread on this.

I think lots of it is gorgeous. Thoughts?

Viero_Berlotti

I like it it's nice, one of his best albums in recent years. Maybe a bit too nice though.

Ah thanks for this. I assumed this would be about 2017's New Energy but no.

Giving it a listen now.

Low synth buzz with click noises and flutey/plinky melodies, I assume?

Wow, that track Romantics is fantastic.

Should post that in the busy/drippy music folder.

I thought this was better than 'New Energy', which leant a bit too far into the bland home-listening side of things for my taste. I still hugely respect him and the level of detail, but his new work doesn't do much for me.

He was good value undertaking a rare interview on Tiga's 'Last Party on Earth' podcast: https://open.spotify.com/episode/7bizVO7aPagL3OQXYIuiyN?si=XFnVW0A1RL6zKsBhard3fQ

A recent 'Streaming from isolation' Boiler Room performance. You get to have a nosy at his massive house that looks like it's in the middle of a forest somewhere.

This really hit the spot thanks. Need to find similar things to listen to while working from home

Got some new headphones yesterday so went on a walk over the tops to give this a first listen. It's great, really suited the bright sunny day. Saw a severed deer's leg too, which I'm sure was what KH was visualising when writing the music.

Some of it compositionally does veer more towards 'competent netlabel release' (you know the type of thing where the artist clearly doesn't know how to take the track off in another direction so just leaves the existing things whirring away for longer than necessary) but it sticks to its guns tonally. The album has a pretty singular vision which I liked, so holds together well and thankfully has a few real standouts.

Having a listen to this at the moment, feeling very emotional this evening so this just poured all over my heart like a lovely thick custard. Some fucking gorgeous stuff on here, and I concur with others that it's better than "New Energy", which I also really enjoyed despite being a skeptic of the more dance-orientated stuff he's been doing over the last decade..
