Monster curry last night, 1.5 naans EACH.

Load of pakoras in the fridge for today as well.

When I lived in Aberdeen there was a Nepalese called the Ghurka Kitchen that would do a meal for 2 for £20
Veg Pakora
Chicken Tikka
Some potato aloo thing
2x mains from the menu
2x rice
1 naan

My housemate and I used to share it quite regularly, but even if one of us wasn't in it wasn't worth getting a single when you can have a couple of nights worth slap up grub for about a fiver more than a main and rice.

One year they popped a christmas card through our letterbox, bless.

Used to get Christmas cards from the two Nepalese places near us in Edinburgh (one of which also called the Ghurka - they’ve got form, these lads).

If we were smart about it we’d have tried to play them off against each other. Missed a trick.

Risky business, what if they found out you were playing both sides and teamed up?

1.5 naans EACH has to be some form of score in a sub continent game you've just made up.

1.5 naan per turn if you control Australasia.

2 naans deducted if you get the card where someone mentions Captain Tom Moore pillaging Jaipur.

Rehydrated some soy curls in chicken broth, dragged them through some cornflour full of spices and air-fried them.

It's so good I could almost cry. Better than any fried chicken you could hope to home cook. Texture is amazing. I am so fucking happy.

This looks akin to the food I was made to eat as a prisoner of war in Burma (sorry, Myanmar, I'm old fashioned) - we'd be given bowls of this insipid soy mush as a form of punishment for only building one bridge a week instead of the target of 11. You eating this just tells me you're as demonically sadistic as my captors and I hazard a bet you go for a shit, take off your trousers but leave your pants on. For shame.

You are fools

Scrape a fork across one of those pieces and they ping the prongs like harp

You need to accept that the world as we know it is ending and we need to embrace the new, vat-based foods.

It's a racial epithet used to describe a person of Oriental origin having wavy hair.

So let's list them:

1: harp-like prong pinging.
2: Vat-based food supremacy.
3: Embracing of a new world order.

And how do the Jews fit in to this grand plan of yours?

I seasoned the soy curls with a Jewish stock cube

This is genuinely true

Was going to order those from Butler but wasn't sure if I should spunk the extra $10 for the jar of chik style seasoning.

What kind of air fryer do you have? Is it just a convection oven?

I use the Butler ones. I would recommend them. Don't be put off by all the dust in the package. They swell up so much with water that it's minimal wastage. You have to make sure you soak them in something that overpowers the tofu-ish flavour of them and cook them so the texture is right, but apart from that it's hard to go wrong with these.

Ninja Air Fryer. It's a glorified convection oven, yeah. They design it so it's more similar to a deep dryer but the basic mechanism is the same.

I used Slap Ya Mama Cajun Style Seasoning and threw in some MSG.

Seeing as how it's now Ice Lolly Weather, i made a trip to the queue-free Iceland to get some. Came back with these new Rowntree Watermelon ice lollies.

Lovely stuff, not unlike a Twister, taste-wise.

Croque monsieur, but get this... the béchamel replaced with the contents of a packaged Swiss cheese fondue. It's okay, you don't have to pay me for this idea.
