Watched a few of these, and they're great. No, he's not peak Chris Morris, but I don't know why that comparison has to be made.

I realise i've put Brasseye, when I meant TDTD.  I was talking about the crazy americans stereotypes in american news skits.

Tim & Eric's Abso Lutely Productions entering a development deal https://deadline.com/2020/05/tim-heidecker-eric-wareheim-abso-lutely-productions-doing-things-media-all-gas-no-brakes-1202939110/

Dunno about Tim & Eric nowadays (I straight up avoided Beef House because it seemed shit. Was it shit?) We'll see.

Just because they're producing it doesn't mean they will be actively involved. Abso-Lutely also produced Nathan For You, for example.

Great news I think, looking forward to this!

Fair point. Eric Andre Show as well. They do seem like they nurture the feel of these shows they choose to back, rather than meddling, so it should be reet.

I'm watching a few clips now to see if I've been sleeping on an underrated Tim & Eric Rennaissance without knowing, and no, I haven't.

I watched them all. I quite liked it.
They nailed the tone of a comfy family sitcom and I sort of enjoyed it more on that level, I think. No great shakes, but I'd still like to watch more.

This is good news, will be interesting to see how they approach it. I hope they slow it down and make it a more Louis Theroux style deal where each show is about him going to these conventions etc and trying to fit in or hanging out with a folk for a while. I think that would be a good idea.
Hope they don't just go for half an hour of his youtube stuff, or even worse intercut it with skits and shit.
Thanks for the recommendation, by the way! It was good fun watching his youtube stuff.

Unrelated but this is the closest thing to an Adult Swim thread I could find and this doesn't warrant a new thread...

Has anyone seen this show Adult Swim show?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Greatest_Event_in_Television_History

Where can one view it? Is it any good, or shit?

Sadly it was never picked up and the thread I posted on here didn't get much traction, but the excellent Vic Berger IV pilot is the type of format I could see them going for in a full series.

The bloke who made The Room was courted by Tim and Eric but backed out because they refused to teach him how to make something good. They wanted him to make something in his own deranged style, while he - of course - had ambitions of competence.

Beef House did what it said on the tin - a Tim & Eric take on the sitcom format, with all the stupidity and grossness that implies. I liked it for what it was but I can see how it wouldn't do much for anyone simply tired of T&E.

That aside, as everyone's pointed out, they've proven themselves a good production house, so I'm quite excited about the potential here.

I've really come to hate Tim after seeing the shit he splashes out outside of the On Cinema universe. He was doing some live thing that I stumbled across and it sounded like Steve Wright in the Afternoon with none of the subtlety.

Yer man has announced on Instagram that he's auctioning off the oversized suit and Nike trainers he's been wearing since the show's beginning (reportedly all unwashed, god knows how fucking bad that clobber must stink) as well as a lucky dip of whatever may have been deposited into the pockets (which allegedly contain half a gram of DMT from some event or other). He's giving 100% of all proceeds to George Floyd Memorial Fund, National Bail Fund and Campaign Zero.

5 days remaining and it's currently up to $20,000.

The AVN vid is depressing and hilarious, first vid I watched of his.

Stunning stuff. What they’re doing, the coverage they’re providing here, is brilliant.

Anyone know why he has a poke at the cameraman? I had a quick google and KARE is a Minneapolis broadcasting network but I’m not sure if they’re dodgy or not?

I think his Gem and Jam video turned me into an Eric Cartman-esque Tory.

The most radical leftists I know are equally revolted by that kind of grotty STI-riddled hippy.

I think his point was that TV news was only concerned with sensational footage of burning buildings shot from a safe distance rather than, like him, going and talking to people about what was happening and why. Not exactly the camerman's fault but I think the nonplussed response to "are you allowed to interview people?" was quite telling.

Anyway I feel totally vindicated now by my earlier impression that what AGNB is doing is indeed original and great.

Space X Launch

Main guy was up in Minneapolis so the camera man did the piece himself. Superb and bonkers stuff as per.
