Why is it so hard to buy a PS4 controller?

Amazon, eBay, everywhere else. I know delivery etc is compromised at the moment but every site seems to be selling dodgy knock off ones.
I've bought two from eBay, but both fell through. Is this a thing? Scamming people who need a new controller?
