it's definitely worth watching as a period piece from the turn of the millennium about how "The Wired" (haha that is my pun with Beard) would turn out. a lot of it rings true from what I've read today and remembered from watching it c.2000, but the main thing is it looks gorgeous with all the painted backgrounds of telegraph wires over Japanese suburbs. it all rung true for us fixing our big computer rigs on the floor in anti-static gear back then anyway
