Yes, I'm bugging you all for ideas for my pop quiz again.

I'm looking for UK top 20 hits which contain at least 10 seconds of la la la/do do do/equivilant gibberish.
Ideally a mixtures of years and genres - otherwise it'd end up being 19 Eurovision songs and 1 by The Police.

Crystal Waters - Gypsy Woman
Crash Test Dummies - Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm
America - Horse With No Name

Dewt

Ten consecutive seconds? If not then Radio Ga Ga and Sussudio leap to mind.

Dewt

Oh and The Scatman qualifies regardless.

Captain Crunch

Simon and His Garfunkel - The Boxer
Super Furry Animals - If You Don't Want Me to Destroy You
Gala - Freed from Desire
Blur - For Tomorrow

Mmmbop?

I'll check, could be ideal

Adam & The Ants - Stand And Deliver

Can't think which part, but I'll have a listen

Inspector Norse

Letter to Hermione also springs to mind but wasn't a hit.

But you could have Absolute Beginners.

Suede - Beautiful Ones

(The outro just goes 'la la la-la, la la la' for a considerable time)

Inspector Norse

Autumn Almanac finishes with a few bars of "ba ba ba"

Excellent. Already got Charmless Man for Blur (repeat offenders)

Under Pressure.

I can mix that seamlessly into Scatnan John!

For some reason I also thought of I Ain't New Ta This by Ice T:

Doop - Doop (fuck, if anything should be left in the past...)

Captain Crunch

Bit brief but the start of Good Feeling by Reef.

Dewt

Bananarama - Na Na Hey Hey (Kiss Him Goodbye)

Marginal one, that.

I think they use actual words yoo quickly between the Na Na Nas, otherwise it would be doubly perfect as Bananarama appearing in every quiz has become a bit of a running joke.

Great, but unfortunately used in the cover versions round last time.
