Like this evil laughing toy.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYoubHutRKc&t=11s
Or this rather inspiring Russian juice advert.

Or this mad one that looks a bit like they're watching the television in the bathroom and he has his hand on his lap or cock.

Fuck knows. It's nightmarish. That old weird style, the weird noises. Is your house full of flies?

Chicken anyone?

Mesmerising chandelier from the future or something?

ICI Fibres advert from the 70s, in a style vvery reminiscent of Giorgio deChirico metaphysical art
Photographer Lester Bookbinder's minimalist 80s ads for St. Ivel Gold spread, with the authorative tone of Michael Jayson's narration:
Karate
Squash Court
Archery
Ribbon
Bowling

Gurke and Hare

Unsettling food.

Would the average Soviet citizen have been aware of Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep? Playing it over a shot of eggs cooking seems like a brilliant private joke.

the greatest thing about hauntology is you don't have to rely on creators having inspiration, resources and energy to execute, and hoping everything comes out well. there's endless stuff just there that captures it perfectly because it's the exact thing present and future hauntological works seek to do

The ending to that is almost identical to the PIF tune that Quentin Smirhes uses in some of his videos

petril

fuck, the ending is very, very Protect & Survive, now I think of it

That's the one

Weird, you say?

The reveal at the end, showing who I really am, is just odd.

Bloody Hell, that's near enough proto- " Jam".
Also, the money Viv made from those adverts was enough for him to buy himself outright a flat in London. So, that's nice.

The Dunlop 'Tested For The Unexpected' ads that Tony Kaye directed in the early 90s:
Magician
Gladiator
They are now used as case studies by the advertising industry as market research showed that people could remember the ads, but had no idea what they were advertising.

He went on to direct his first feature film American History X a few years afterwards, and famously self-sabotaged his career during a bitter and very public post-production dispute with the studio.

Hey if he played on Starship Trooper, that's good enough for me!
