Take a good look
In your own time
See the world turn
Through your own eyes
Sunshine
Shine until you're mine

#1
When you try your best but you don't succeed
When you get what you want but not what you need
When you feel so tired but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse oh jesus christ our lord

When the tears come streaming down your face
'Cause you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone but it goes to waste
What could it be worse? Oh jesus christ our lord

Lights will guide you home
God ignite your bones
And he will try to fix you
But high up above or down below
When you are too in love to let it show
Oh but if you never try you'll never know
Just what you're worth Oh jesus christ our lord

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you
Tears come streaming down your face
In England's green and pleasant fields

Post lyrics not song names, nobody is going to go and look up a Coldplay song's lyrics

We are a rock revolving
Around a golden sun
We are a billion children rolled into one
So when I hear about the hole in the sky
Saltwater wells in my eyes

We climb the highest mountain
We'll make the desert bloom
We're so ingenious we can walk the moon
But when I hear of how the forest have died
Saltwater wells in my eyes

We light the deepest ocean
Send photographs of Mars
We're so enchanted my how clever we are
Why should one baby feel so hungry she cries
Saltwater wells in my eyes

We are a rock revolving
Around a golden sun
We are a billion children rolled into one
What will I think of me the day that I die
Saltwater wells in my eyes
Saltwater wells in my eyes

We sang this song at school assembly along with the real hymns like "I'm going to paint a perfect picture" and "No I mustn't forget".

Genuinely sang this in assembly:

In the year 2525, if man is still alive
If woman can survive, they may find
In the year 3535
Ain't gonna need to tell the truth, tell no lie
Everything you think, do and say
Is in the pill you took today
In the year 4545
You ain't gonna need your teeth, won't need your eyes
You won't find a thing to chew
Nobody's gonna look at you
In the year 5555
Your arms hangin' limp at your sides
Your legs got nothin' to do
Some machine's doin' that for you
In the year 6565
You won't need no husband, won't need no wife
You'll pick your son, pick your daughter too
From the bottom of a long glass tube

In the year 7510
If God's a coming, He oughta make it by then
Maybe He'll look around Himself and say
Guess it's time for the judgment day
In the year 8510
God is gonna shake His mighty head
He'll either say I'm pleased where man has been
Or tear it down, and start again

In the year 9595
I'm kinda wonderin' if man is gonna be alive
He's taken everything this old earth can give
And he ain't put back nothing

Now it's been ten thousand years
Man has cried a billion tears
For what, he never knew, now man's reign is through
But through eternal night, the twinkling of starlight
So very far away, maybe it's only yesterday

In the year 2525, if man is still alive
If woman can survive, they may find

Fucked me right up.

Had a listen on YouTube and it sounds like Una Paloma Blanca slowed down!

Not sure if you're serious, but if the school had to sing that at assembly, that is side-splittingly funny. Utterly brilliant.

It's like when one of the senior teachers at my school brought his rock albums[nb]Always by artists who seemed old and irrelevant to us.[/nb] in to the assemblies he ran. He emphasised the lessons continued therein, like how "Money" by Pink Floyd told us not to be greedy and "Homeless" by Paul Simon told us that it's a bad thing to be homeless. [nb]And our headmaster told us all to go out and buy "Do They Know It's Christmas?" What was it with that school?[/nb]. And he once made a grave announcement about how he'd learned that pupils had been doing Ouija boards, and that they were messing with powers beyond their control.

But Christ, he never made us sing "In the Year 2525".

Did you accidentally go to school at Andy's Records?

Gregory Torso

Sang this during our school's Eisteddfod:

I wanna walk through Sodom with a boy on my arm
Who's so damn pretty I don't know where I am
When they look so like a girl it's easy to swallow
And it's one notch on my arm towards a broader tomorrow
And if the future's looking grim
I can just take hold of him
And say!
'Nothing out of our loins, sweetie
Will ever see the light of day'
So weep in a way and rejoice in another
We'll never feel the pain of being a mother
We can only be happy to say that 'We're brothers!
Blood brothers!'

Zager and Evans really does sound like it could be a dreary gradual though
