Can't figure out if it's the cause or not, but it seems like every time I have a joint, 6am following morning I'm woken up with pain in my yeast, barley, water and sugars

Anyone else get this? Am I just a lightweight with gout?

Why would your sugars be separate from your grain bill? Fermentable maltrose and dextrose come from the grist, they aren't added separately.

I don't think you've thought this through.

It's because you are feeding the JOINTS of your body with JOINTS.  Self-cannibalising hurts.
