Sebastian Cobb

I stuck a cocktail umbrella up me meatus.

Zetetic

I know a few people who've done one.

And then several others, because the UK-wide setup on these is a fucking trainwreck it seems.

You're doing well if they don't send you a result before you've actually sent them the sample.

Captain Z

Did one.

Result: No, you don't have a home.

Cloud

If that's the £69 thing, I have better things to put 69 towards

Cerys

Did one on Thursday night.

Send my blood away to the government? Yeah right.

Zetetic

The £69 ones are sending it a private company.

Anyone know what the sensitivity of the finger-prick home testing antibody kits are in practice?

Hobo

I've done the 'drive to a leisure centre car park and speak to the army' sort. I'd imagine the kits are the same, they basically hand a bag through the window and leave you to it.

Zetetic

Those are antigen kits, aren't they? I assume you had stick a swab in your throat (and depending you were, up your nose).

But it would be interesting to know if anyone has had a good go at working out what the sensitivity of those are in practice as well, given issues with self-swabbing etc.

I just gave my dangly bits a rub.....then I did the test.
