Topic: Pubs seem to think they're re-opening

Last night my wife and I discussed moving to Oz. We've both got best mates out there, it's closer to China and we would be eligible for work visas. My old man did it in his 40s so like father like son. I just wanna drink some piss, eat sangers and stop being a fackin sook.

The thought of moving to New Zealand has briefly crossed my mind, I will admit. Not just for the pubs, honest. Numerous reasons. If I was single and Edinburgh didn't exist I probably would have buggered off out of This Mean And Bitter Land years ago.

Got friends in Oz too but don't want to go there, NZ seems a bit more liberal and much more picturesque.

That doesn't stop people dying from smoking, over-drinking, lack of exercise, mental health, it's not going to make any difference now.

NZ is way less liberal than most parts of Oz - Melbourne is where you want to head if a liberal utopia is your thing - anyway it is hard as fuck to get permanent residency unless you have a skill like nursing or fixing air conditioning type “specialist“ expertise - getting a working visa for IT or sales is nigh on impossible these days alas

As always, I think the people who should look at themselves are those who continued to back the least popular party leader in history long after it became obvious he was leading us to a Tory landslide.

Saw this guy on the bus the other day, looking happy and well and wrapped up in the nice warm winter coat two friends of mine from the pub bought for him just before winter. That was really nice to see. I hope the pubs can reopen and he's back among friends soon. Yep, my local is certainly much more than a sweet shop.

Britain doesn't have a President. Really bad reasoning there.. Corbyn was not a superhero flying in - he would have built a team and institutions around the project who would have done the good work.
