To bring this thread into friendlier noncing territories, Gaetz sought a blanket, preemptive pardon from Trump for himself and a few friends during the last week of his administration.

Also, when he was a Florida representative, he opposed in 2015 a law criminalizing "revenge porn" with the argument that people, including him, should be free to decide whatever to do with their homemade collection of naked pictures. He also blocked the bill for a year after it had gone through Senate, as it was then assigned to a House committee he chaired and he never scheduled an hearing. It went instead to a different committee, he got the bill significantly weakened, and he was one of the two representatives to vote no (against 114), the other one being his roommate. The Florida Congress was able to pass a stronger bill against non consensual pornography in 2019, with Gaetz gone.

I've checked one thing. There's actually no good cartoon version of Matt Gaetz (well so far, as Ben Garrison hasn't still drawn him). Basically, Gaetz already looks IRL like the generic version of a drawing by a street caricature artist, and any attempt at including him in a political cartoon is bound to make any take look like as some hack work.

to bring this thread a full circle, the timeline fits for ol Matty to have knocked up Nestor’s sister when he was 18 and she was much younger. the families were close and it’s not outside the realms of possibility that the family raised the kid as their own to avoid scandal.

don’t think they let people as stupid as him near enough to anyone important to do real damage. an associate of his is on trial for human trafficking and insane levels of corruption, that’s more likely to sink him at this stage.
