SHIT LIFE JOKE CLOTHES FUCK CORRIDORS YOUR COLLEAGUES TALK SHIT ABOUT YOU

This Wedding Present video made me laugh, which is probably the first luminant sound escaping my face since about the beginning of February, and it is also a great song.

Post? if it please the forum, any video of a band or song that makes the world flush with colour.

Pulp - Bad Cover Version
https://youtu.be/xR5xGHPUEew

Some of the references haven't dated too well, but it's such a fantastic concept for a video (which I'm surprised hadn't been done before, to be honest) and it's brilliantly realised.

Always put a stupid smile on my fat face anyway.

McChesney Duntz

In a similar yet opposite stylee (in that it's filled with actual celebrities who, if playing specific roles, in no way resemble the real people they're portraying), there's this one, directed by Mr. Tom Scharpling...

The New Pornographers - "Moves":

chveik

Neil Hamburger - Jug Town

Zip Code Rapists - Touch Me

Sparks - Lighten Up Morrissey

hope this helps :)

and of course this sterling effort from our boy Plankton https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hie_0jxwHi8

Powder - New Tribe, found deep in cups and watched in many more cups since. Semi-autobiographical account of the DJ with a fucking horrendous 8-8 job whose outlet was making music til 3am, then heading back to work where the only ambience was colleagues typing and answering phones, in-between having home made lunch in a little garden listening back to the previous evening's creative outlet, since skyscraped-over. She got fed up with it and fucked it off. Beautifully messy captivating thing.

Wilson Simonal - Canta Meu Limão Meu Limoeiro Cheating a bit as it's an at live at the time video, but sunburn my bollocks under torture and ask me for a better audience interaction than this, I'd shriek the same.

Adavi Donga Songs - Idhi Oka Nandanavanam - Chiranjeevi, Radha Might well have been posted here before, but Bollywood car-wash synchronised animal masks oh-alright-then.

I really enjoyed this - amazing video and music, cheered me up too, cheers! Wish I could fuck my job into the sky, get a little cat and a house and be with my family and make art and goodness

That was great. Proper laugh at Tom Jones and the Gary Numan reveal!

Shit Good Nose

One of my favourite music videos of all time - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HwOzeaL08Gg

I still think the vid is great, but these days can't decide if the song is any good or not.

The Crumb

Pretty much anything from stop making sense, this is my personal favourite.

studpuppet

Helge Schneider's Katzeklo ("Cat Litter")

Lesley Gore with Sunshine, Lollipops and Rainbows

Vindaloo Summer Special (Ted Chippington, Fuzzbox, Nightingales) - Rocking With Rita (Actually any Fuzzbox video cheers me up.)

OK Go's End Love (particularly the clingy goose at the end)

DJ Shadow's Nobody Speak with lyrics added.

Are we allowed non-video performances if the song doesn't have one? If so:

Frank Chickens - Blue Canary

Happy Mondays - Performance on The Other Side Of Midnight - Shaun&Bez at their Shaun&Bez-iest

Even back in the day when I hated Britpop and Madchester, I had to begrudingly admire Happy Monday's Bummed album. Their preoccuptation with Nicolas Roeg's Performance (that features all across that album) just doesn't match their brand at all.

This, and the Bobby Conn one a few posts up, have genuinely made me feel better about things, thank you. 10/10 for the goose.

Here's a bit of high-viz, cellophane and saffron, crayola dusk korean pop magic courtesy of an old thread I started, and thanks whoever it was that originally posted it (might have been humming of evil?), as this has got me through some achingly rough times like nothing else I can think of, song and video pure goes off like a stalking rainbow of heart murmurs l.o.v.e. baby it is real

Some live videos that 'cheer up' as in life affirming rather than 'funny'

Kings of Convenience Know How
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HuJOswNKuwo

Especially for the bit where Feist joins them onstage

The Darkness Friday Night
Live in Barcelona. Always had a soft spot for these boys.

Neil Halstead Alison

Pre Slowdive reformation it was a joy to hear this again.

And one that's both life affirming and a bit funny.

Imagine your dad and his mates from Cricket formed a pop psych band.

Electric Six - Gay Bar

I think it's genuinely one of the best songs ever made and the video is utterly ludicrous, as well as probably being quite subversive and naughty.

I love that video.
Probably because it will have upset the sort of people I'm glad to see getting upset.

Basically a load of clips from DIG!-  Brian Jonestown Massacre's Going to Hell always cheers me up

Ten Benson- I don't Buy It. I like all the mugging and the drummer's face

Not strictly a video- one of the Williams Fairey Brass Band dancing to the brass version of 808 State's Cubik

Killdozer - Hi There

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fk60RTgiFOY

"I don't like you, fucking little shit" is so satisfying to "sing" along to.

Not official but great and great fun, as is the song

Needs to be a twofer with Danger! High Voltage which is just as silly, although in this one he's channelling Boris Blank a bit.

Say what you will about the White Stripes (I think they're great), but this is undeniably silly and fun.
