Iannucci was famous in the 90s for writing, he's got no chance, he was always going to go mental

QuoteNew from Labour NEC. Lara McNeill asks Keir Starmer if he will uphold same zero tolerance approach on antisemitism to Rachel Reeves' praise for Nancy Astor

He said "I'm not going to discuss that"

Also refused to be drawn on BLM - one source says he is in "no mood to compromise"

Buelligan

"In no mood to compromise with anyone or thing on the Left", surely?

Otherwise, it's him and Ange, sitting on a fence, C L A PP I N G.

When they're not kneeling, obvs.

Or admiring their shoes and polishing their hair.

bgmnts

Fucking cunt.

Anyway, the past 4 years have seen Jewish people used by the establishment to suppress any kind of left wing movement and as the focus point for a ludicrous smear campaign.

All the while the ACTUAL racists, prejudiced and bigots are/were held to no account and actually kept their power, getting hundreds of thousands of people in this countey killed.

Now we have no left wing party, the weaponisation of Judaism has quite literally doomed an entire people in the Palestinians, who are supported by various left wing groups.

Is this going to swing back around to Jewish people now? Its hard not to associate the right wing with jewish people now for me because they pretended to give a shit about the issue SO HARD to beat Corbyn to death with.

Its all quite complicated and shit.

Thanks Britain.

Iannuci's SUCH a disappointment, really would have expected someone that wrote the kind of comedy he did to look at things a bit more deeply than your average centrist.

Yep, in terms of the scales falling from my eyes, Iannucci is one of the most significant factors. Still, loads of people said accepting an honour was a bad sign but I wouldn't listen because one of them was Alistair Campbell.

If I'd done my research, I'd have known he voted lib dem in 2010 and was queasy about the con dem coalition.

Johnny Yesno

On the other hand, Lara McNeill has big balls.

Lol while I was searching for more tweets regarding Iannucci and Campbell I came across this thread that I felt I had to share on here because it's absolutely making my brain melt:

Loooool not sure which name on that list has cracked me up the most because they're all insanely shit (although I still quite like Sharma and just ignore his Twitter).. got to be Baddiel for me.

Surprised they missed off Rachel Riley and James OB.

Goldentony

list of names of people who were on telly during the Rex The Runt years again, the next wave of tories is the last generation of comedians

pancreas

Alexei Sayle tho.

This is what's weird about going to comedy gigs. Us lot would make up about 1% on a good night. The rest will be cunts. We are sitting there laughing along with these cunts at other cunts doing cynical performative allyship. The only reason we're on the same side is because they haven't had their mouths stuffed full of BBC cash yet. What happens next is that everyone in the audience grows up and owns their own house and puts landmines in their garden in case the Yodel delivery guy turns out to be black.

Goldentony

Alexei was 80s, be happy his selling out was just for sock ads

Yep and Chris Martin. Keith Starmer goes without saying.

idunnosomename

Is Simon Sharma a centrist kebab house owner?

Buelligan

No.  He's a silly old cunt on twitter, I think.

This has to be some Trevor Bastard or other surely!

Fambo Number Mive

Imagine if there was a Fantasy Political Party computer game like the football manager games and someone released a Centrist Celebrities Expansion Pack.

Sebastian Cobb

If that game existed it might help us in the real world. Ignoring the expansion pack, obvs.

honeychile

Fantasy frontbench still hasn't been updated with the new MPs from 2019.

Aagh! It's Schama not Sharma. These illiterate hard centrist cunts can't even spell the names of their wank fantasies.

Famous Mortimer

The SWP are having a meeting about it right now, if you're interested in some socialists' view on it.

pigamus

I don't see the point, it's definitely Schama.

I think we drifted off on Starmer BLM chat in here yesterday around the time this was published but she's posted a depressingly meek apology.

Reads like a hostage saying they're captors are treating them well.

Maybe depend in centralist incompetence again to accidently promote a palestinian historian to the front bench instead?

It does explain the timeline and why she refused to delete the original tweet, though.

Nah, she's just being diplomatic; there's a few secret barbs in there. Like Corbyn, she's here to stay.

Sebastian Cobb

Neutered and sent to coventry by Starmer's new appointments.
