Flicking through this, it's likely TFL will start begging the government for money soon. And Boris is going to try and push for a committent for driverless trains specifically to weaken the unions. They're not even dressing it up as 'necessary modernization'.

Currently TFL have a bit of power over the private companies that provides services. If it has to ask the government for help we should keep our eyes out for any demands that change how it operates.

Johnson and driverless trains is like a UK version of those things that Trump gets a thing about and keeps coming back to despite people endlessly pointing out the issues.
