Sounds like this amazing game that the BBC did in 2005. Anyone else play this? It so completely sunk without trace that for a while I thought I may have just imagined that it existed at all.

Can we have one where it's Limmy and you're trying to gradually wind him up via subtle dialogue options that get under his skin so he has a psychotic break where he goes on a hammering spree, smashing poorly chroma-keyed in duplicates of himself with a hammer? And then it turns into Doom where you're throwing staplers at him to try and stop his massacre. I'd like that.
